INVC NEWS Balochistan – The Balochistan has declared itself independent from Pakistan, marking a dramatic and historic shift in South Asia’s geopolitical landscape. Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch, in a powerful public statement, asserted that the people of Balochistan no longer recognize Pakistan’s authority and called upon the international community—including India—to stand with the Baloch nation in its pursuit of sovereignty.

The announcement, made via a series of social media posts, comes after years of violent crackdowns, enforced disappearances, aerial bombardments, and systematic human rights abuses allegedly carried out by Pakistani security forces in the mineral-rich region. Mir Yar Baloch declared that the people have made their decision, and that the time has come for the world to act.

“The People of Balochistan Have Decided”: Leader’s Statement Sends Shockwaves

Posting on Instagram, Mir Yar Baloch said, “Balochistan is not Pakistan. The people of Balochistan have decided. Now the world must stop watching in silence.” He emphasized that Baloch citizens are risking their lives in the streets to assert their independence, challenging Pakistan’s narrative and calling for global solidarity.

In a deeply emotional appeal, he urged Indian citizens and international observers to stop labeling Balochs as Pakistanis, stating, “We are not Pakistanis. We are Balochistanis. The people of Pakistan are Punjabis—those who have never experienced aerial bombings, genocide, or the trauma of disappearance.”

Support for India’s Stand on PoK

Mir Yar Baloch also threw his support behind India’s recent diplomatic stance on Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he wrote, “Balochistan fully supports India’s decision to ask Pakistan to vacate PoK on 14 May 2025.”

He went further to suggest that Pakistan risks repeating the humiliation of 1971’s surrender in Dhaka, urging the global community to pressure Islamabad to withdraw from PoK immediately. According to Baloch, Pakistan is using civilians in PoK as human shields, and should India be forced into military action, responsibility for bloodshed would lie solely with Pakistan’s army generals.

Decades of Repression in Balochistan

Balochistan, Pakistan’s largest but most underdeveloped province, has long been embroiled in conflict. Accusations of extrajudicial killings, ethnic cleansing, enforced disappearances, and economic exploitation have plagued the region for decades.

Human rights organizations worldwide have frequently raised alarms over the use of force against Baloch activists, students, and civilians. Entire villages have allegedly been razed. Internet shutdowns and military lockdowns are reportedly common in restive districts.

The Baloch freedom movement, once seen as a fragmented rebellion, now appears to be consolidating under strong leadership and gaining increased visibility on global platforms.

An Urgent Appeal to the World

“The world cannot remain a silent spectator anymore,” Mir Yar Baloch warned. He urged democracies, human rights groups, and neighboring countries to recognize the ground reality in Balochistan and take decisive action. The message is clear: Balochistan is asserting its right to self-determination, and silence is complicity.

The leader also appealed to global media and civil society to stop viewing the issue through the lens of Pakistani nationalism. “We want our identity back. We are not a part of a country that has only offered us bloodshed in return for loyalty,” he stated.

Geopolitical Repercussions Likely to Intensify

This declaration is expected to escalate tensions between India and Pakistan, both of which are already navigating a volatile relationship over the Kashmir issue. India’s recent reiteration that PoK is an integral part of the country has received vocal support from the Baloch leadership, possibly opening the door to strategic alliances and diplomatic shifts.

If recognized or supported officially, Balochistan’s declaration could set a precedent that ripples across the region. Analysts warn that the international community may soon be forced to take a clear stand, particularly if civil unrest intensifies or military operations escalate in the region.

A Pivotal Moment in South Asian History

The declaration made by Mir Yar Baloch may mark the beginning of a new chapter for Balochistan—a moment of reckoning where centuries of identity and decades of struggle converge into a single, defiant statement: Balochistan is not Pakistan.

As calls for recognition grow louder and global awareness surges, the coming days will determine whether the world continues to look away—or finally chooses to stand with the Baloch people in their fight for justice, identity, and independence.
