Jammu and Kashmir : Amarnath Yatra 2024 will start on 29 June 2024 and will conclude on 19 August 2024. There is great news for the devotees who wish to visit Baba Barfani by doing Amarnath Yatra. Shri Amarnath Shrine Board has informed that the annual pilgrimage to Amarnath temple will start from June 29 and will end on August 19. The board said that advance registration for this holy Amarnath Yatra which will last for 52 days will start from today i.e. April 15. Amarnath Yatra takes place through two routes. One route is the traditional 48 km long Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag district, while the other is the 14 km long Baltal route in Ganderbal district.
National Disaster Response Force and State Disaster Response Force personnel are undergoing special training to become part of the Mountain Rescue Teams (MRT) of Jammu and Kashmir Police to ensure the safety and convenience of the devotees.
Security is very strict during Amarnath Yatra. This time too, preparations for security arrangements for Amarnath Yatra have already started. It was told that during the Amarnath Yatra, a large number of security personnel will be deployed on the entire Amarnath Yatra route to prepare for bad weather conditions and natural disasters in the area.
