Air India Operations from Amritsar Airport

EIL,,

Delhi,,

Air India has not stopped operation of international flights from Amritsar Airport. however, effective October 31, 2010, Air India has restructed 4 weekly B777-300ER services on the Amritsar-London-toronto route to operate as daily services on each of the Amritsar-Delhi-Toronto and Amritsar-Delhi-London routes. Thus Air India would in fact offer more choice of frequencies on the Amritsar-London and Amritsar-Toronto routes. The routing via Delhi would also enable Air India to improve the economics of the operations by getting the traffic to / from Delhi and the feeder traffic from other Indian cities as well as international cities in the SEA, SAARC and other region since Delhi is Air India’s hub for domestic as well as international services. In addition, Air India would now offer seamless connectivity for Amritsar passengers via Delhi to other international destinations like New York, Chicago, Frankfurt, Paris, Bankok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghal etc. Apart from this, Air India and its subsidiary Air India Express also operates regular international services connecting Amritsar with Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Muscat. Air India operates 4 weekly A320 services on the Amritsar-Sharjah v.v. route. However, Air India is reviewing the flight operation on Amritsar-Delhi-Toronto Sector.

  1. In order to be profitable at least on one route, Air India must start Amritsar – Birmingham – Amritsar route. One way flight takes nine hours to complete. That leaves three hours at each end for clean up and maintenance work. This is ideal for completion of round trip within twenty four hours. The other most profitable route is the non-stop Amritsar – Vancouver – Amritsar route. This will be a golden route.

  2. I am really impressed with your writing skills as well as with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself? Either way keep up the nice quality writing, it’s rare to see a nice blog like this one nowadays..
