Mumbai : India’s top industrial magnate, Gautam Adani’s company, renowned for its keen interest in green energy, is set to break new ground in the renewable energy sector. Amidst multiple investigations following the Hindenburg report, the Adani Group is charting its course to erect the world’s premier renewable energy manufacturing hub.
A One-stop Hub for Renewable Energy Manufacturing
Adani Solar officials, as cited in the report, confirmed that the mega plant will be strategically located in Mundra, Gujarat. This ambitious venture by the Adani Group is touted to be the singular plant globally to manufacture every component essential for renewable energy. The production lineup encompasses polysilicon, ingots, wafers, cells, solar modules, and even wind turbines, offering a comprehensive suite of renewable energy products.
Expanding Horizons in Solar and Wind Sectors
The Adani Group’s vision extends beyond solar energy, with substantial growth plans in the wind sector. The report sheds light on Adani Wind’s expansion blueprint. While its previous wind turbine manufacturing capacity in Mundra stood at 1.5 GW, the company has plans to escalate this figure to a whopping 5 GW. Complementing this is the Adani Group’s impressive capacity to produce 4 GW of solar modules.
Structural Evolution for Cost-effective Production
Adani Solar and Adani Wind, both pivotal arms of the conglomerate, operate under the banner of Adani Enterprises. In a strategic move to streamline production and optimize costs, the group has instituted Adani New Industries.
