Aadhaar has emerged as the main identity card

During the last decade, Aadhaar has emerged as the main identity card of the people. Aadhaar is used as an identity card in more than 1100 government schemes run by the central and state governments. In the past, UIDAI had asked Aadhaar users to update the Aadhaar issued 10 years ago. Now UIDAI has launched the service to update Aadhaar. Under the change in Aadhaar update rules, 2 facilities have been introduced for the benefit of the people, in which the first facility is that till now you had to pay Rs 25 for updating Aadhaar. But now it will not seem. And the second facility is Head of Family Service, in this any Aadhaar user above 18 years of age can be the Head of Family and can update the Aadhaar information of any member of the family through the update process.

Now there will be no fee for updating Aadhaar

UIDAI: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has given the facility to update the Aadhaar document online for free till June 14. That is, now you will not have to pay the fixed amount on the earlier side. Yes, till now you had to pay Rs 25 for updating Aadhaar. But now it will not seem. Free service from March 15 to June 14, 2023

This information was given to UIDAI in an official statement. This step will benefit lakhs of people. The free service is available for the next three months i.e. from March 15 to June 14, 2023.

There will be a fee of Rs 50

As per the Aadhaar Enrollment and Update Regulations, 2016, Aadhaar number holders can update their supporting documents at least once every 10 years from the date of enrollment for Aadhaar. The statement said that this service is free only on the Aadhaar portal and a fee of Rs 50 will continue to be paid at physical Aadhaar centers as before.

Head of Family Service launched to update Aadhaar

The central government has relaxed the rules for updating the document, giving great relief to the Aadhaar users. Now Aadhaar users will be able to update Aadhaar even without documents. For this, UIDAI has started a new service Head of Family. Through which it has become easy to update the information of Aadhaar. UIDAI has launched Head of Family Service to update Aadhaar. The benefit of this service is going to be maximum for those Aadhaar users who do not have their own documents. Aadhaar can be updated without any documents through Head of Family Service. Any Aadhaar user above 18 years of age can be the Head of Family and can update the Aadhaar information of any family member through the update process

Easy process of Aadhaar card update

UIDAI said that the Head of Family service will prove to be most effective for those customers who have only Aadhaar card as their identity document. Head of Family Service will make it easy to update Aadhaar information of children, women and the elderly. If the Aadhaar user does not have a ration card, mark sheet, marriage certificate, the head of family service can fill the prescribed form and verify it himself and upload it as a document asked by UIDAI. To update the details of Aadhaar card from UIDAI’s Head of Family service, the user will have to pay a fee of Rs 50. Aadhaar update can be done online under a simple process.

  1. There will be no birth certificate for old people like me (88 yrs). In such cases how to update Aadhaar details with out Birth certificate.
