The box office momentum of blockbuster Dhurandhar 2 is beginning to slow down after an extended theatrical run, while Dacoit, starring Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh, continues to struggle to maintain its footing.
According to early trade estimates, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, led by Ranveer Singh, collected approximately ₹98 lakh on its 33rd day (Monday). The sharp dip reflects a natural slowdown after the film’s record-breaking performance over the past month.
Despite the decline in daily earnings, the film’s cumulative box office collection has reached an impressive ₹1,116.65 crore, cementing its position among the highest-grossing Hindi films of all time.
‘Dacoit’ Nears End of Box Office Run
In contrast, Dacoit, featuring Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh, is nearing the end of its theatrical run. The film earned just ₹28 lakh on its 11th day (Monday), indicating a steep drop in audience turnout.
With this, Dacoit has managed to collect a total of ₹32.34 crore so far, significantly trailing behind expectations.
Box Office Trend Analysis
Trade analysts note that while Dhurandhar 2 continues to generate residual earnings due to its massive popularity and strong word-of-mouth, its daily collections are expected to taper off as it enters the later stages of its theatrical lifecycle.
On the other hand, Dacoit has struggled to gain traction amid stiff competition and limited audience engagement, leading to a rapid decline in collections within just two weeks of release.
Industry Outlook
With new releases entering the market and audience attention shifting, both films are now transitioning into the final phase of their box office journeys. While Dhurandhar 2 remains a historic success, Dacoit is likely to wrap up its theatrical run with modest numbers.
