Box Office Report: ‘Dhurandhar 2’ Dominates Day 26, ‘Dacoit’ and ‘Project Hail Mary’ See Post-Weekend Drop

Mumbai, India — April 14, 2026

The Indian box office continues to witness a three-way clash between Bollywood, South Indian cinema, and Hollywood releases, but one film remains firmly in control — Dhurandhar 2.

Despite multiple new releases in recent weeks, Dhurandhar 2 has maintained its dominance, delivering steady numbers even in its fourth week. Meanwhile, newer releases like Dacoit and Project Hail Mary are beginning to slow down after their weekend momentum.

🎬 ‘Dhurandhar 2’ Continues Historic Run

The blockbuster Dhurandhar 2 remains the top performer at the box office. On its 26th day, the film collected approximately ₹5.20 crore, showcasing remarkable consistency.

Released on March 19, the film has delivered impressive weekly numbers:

  • Week 1: ₹674.17 crore
  • Week 2: ₹263.65 crore
  • Week 3: ₹110.60 crore

This brings its total domestic collection to ₹1,088.62 crore, cementing its position among the highest-grossing Indian films.

🌍 Closing in on Global Records

Globally, Dhurandhar 2 has amassed a massive ₹1,718.62 crore, putting it within striking distance of Pushpa 2, which holds a worldwide total of ₹1,742.10 crore.

However, it still trails behind global giants like Baahubali 2: The Conclusion and Dangal in the all-time worldwide rankings.

Trade analysts suggest that if the current trend continues, Dhurandhar 2 could soon surpass Pushpa 2 and move further up the global chart.

🎥 ‘Dacoit’ Faces Tough Competition

The South Indian action drama Dacoit, starring Mrunal Thakur and Adivi Sesh, is struggling to maintain momentum.

Released on April 10 in both Hindi and Telugu, the film earned ₹2.70 crore on Day 4 (Monday), taking its total collection to ₹22.50 crore.

The film has also generated buzz due to the presence of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap in a key role. However, its box office performance has been impacted by the continued dominance of Dhurandhar 2.

🚀 ‘Project Hail Mary’ Slows After Weekend Spike

The Hollywood release Project Hail Mary, which debuted in India on March 26, is also witnessing a decline in weekday collections.

  • Monday Collection: ₹1.20 crore
  • Sunday Collection: ₹3.95 crore
  • Week 1: ₹24.70 crore
  • Week 2: ₹20.30 crore

The film’s total Indian box office collection now stands at ₹56.12 crore.

While the sci-fi film performed well over the weekends, weekday drops indicate a gradual slowdown in audience turnout.

📊 Box Office Trend Analysis

The current trend highlights a clear winner in Dhurandhar 2, which continues to outperform both regional and international competitors.

Key trends:

  • Strong hold for established blockbuster
  • New releases struggling against dominant competition
  • Hollywood films facing limited weekday traction in India

Industry experts believe that unless a major new release arrives, Dhurandhar 2 is likely to maintain its lead in the coming days.
