India is set to significantly strengthen its air power as the Ministry of Defence has informed a parliamentary panel that several high-value procurement deals—including 114 Rafale fighter jets, multi-role transport aircraft, and Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) systems—are expected to be finalized in fiscal year 2026–27.
