The festival of Holi brought mixed results at the Indian box office, with some films witnessing improved earnings while others experienced a slowdown. “The Kerala Story 2” benefited from the festive holiday, while “Assi” recorded a noticeable decline in daily collections. Meanwhile, “O Romeo,” starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, maintained steady but modest earnings.
‘The Kerala Story 2’ Shows Improvement on Holi
“The Kerala Story 2” recorded a decent performance at the box office during the Holi holiday. According to early estimates, the film collected ₹3.50 crore on Wednesday.
The film had earned ₹4 crore on Tuesday, indicating a slight dip day-to-day but still maintaining solid traction due to the holiday boost. The movie opened with ₹75 lakh on its first day, and within six days of release, it has accumulated ₹20.15 crore at the box office.
Industry observers note that festival periods often provide an opportunity for films to draw larger crowds, especially during evening and night shows.
‘Assi’ Sees Decline in Collections
The film “Assi” has been performing at a relatively slow pace since its release, and Wednesday’s numbers reflected a drop compared to the previous day.
On Wednesday, the film earned approximately ₹25 lakh, down from ₹35 lakh on Tuesday. The movie opened with ₹1 crore on its first day, but overall box office traction has remained limited.
After 13 days in theaters, the film’s total box office collection stands at ₹9.33 crore.
‘O Romeo’ Continues Slow but Stable Run
Romantic drama “O Romeo,” featuring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, continues its theatrical run with steady yet modest earnings.
The film collected ₹90 lakh on Wednesday, matching its Tuesday collection of ₹90 lakh. While daily growth remains limited, the movie has managed to sustain a consistent audience presence.
After 20 days in theaters, “O Romeo” has recorded a total box office collection of ₹67.60 crore.
Mixed Box Office Trends During Holi Week
The latest box office numbers highlight how festival holidays can influence theatrical performance. While certain films gain momentum during celebrations, others struggle to maintain consistent audience turnout.
As the weekend approaches, industry analysts will be closely watching whether these films experience renewed momentum or continue on their current trajectories.
