Mumbai, India — March 4, 2026
The release of Yash’s highly anticipated film “Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups” has been officially postponed, with the makers announcing a new theatrical date for the pan-India project. The film will now release worldwide on June 4, 2026, instead of its earlier scheduled date of March 19, 2026.
With the change in schedule, the movie will no longer clash at the box office with Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film “Dhurandhar 2.”
Major Box Office Clash Avoided
Originally, both Toxic and Dhurandhar 2 were expected to release on March 19, setting up one of the most talked-about box office clashes of the year.
However, with the new release date announced for Toxic, Ranveer Singh’s “Dhurandhar 2” will now enjoy a solo theatrical release, potentially benefiting from the absence of direct competition during its opening weekend.
Reason Behind the Delay
According to the film’s producers and lead actor Yash, the decision to postpone the release was influenced by ongoing tensions in the Middle East and regional instability.
The makers explained that the delay would help ensure the film reaches a wider international audience, particularly in key overseas markets affected by the current situation.
The announcement was also shared with fans through social media, where the team confirmed that additional time would allow for a more strategic global rollout.

Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is one of the most awaited Indian films of 2026 and marks a significant project for Yash, who gained global recognition after the success of the KGF franchise.
The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas, known for her critically acclaimed filmmaking style.
Star-Studded Cast
The film features an ensemble cast that includes several prominent actors from Indian cinema. Alongside Yash, the movie stars:
Kiara Advani
Nayanthara
Huma Qureshi

Multi-Language Global Release
Toxic is designed as a pan-India film and has been shot simultaneously in Kannada and English. The film will be released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam, allowing it to reach audiences across India and international markets.
With its new June 4, 2026 release date, industry observers expect the film to remain one of the most anticipated theatrical releases of the year.
