HYDERABAD, India – February 13, 2026
Celebrated actor Ram Charan and entrepreneur Upasana Konidela have formally named their newborn twins in a traditional ceremony attended by close family members and friends.
The couple welcomed their twins on January 31, bringing double joy to their household. Now, in a culturally rich naming ceremony conducted according to family traditions and religious customs, they introduced their children to the world as Shivram and Anveera Devi.
A Ceremony Rooted in Tradition
The naming ritual was conducted with full adherence to family customs and spiritual practices. Speaking about the occasion, Ram Charan described the decision as deeply personal and meaningful.
The actor said naming their children was far more than a ceremonial obligation.
“Choosing our children’s names was a very special decision for us. Upasana and I had many conversations about it. Our parents were also an important part of the process. In our culture, the blessings and guidance of elders carry great significance,” he said.
The Meaning Behind Shivram
The couple’s son has been named Shivram, a name inspired by Lord Shiva and Lord Rama. According to Ram Charan, the name symbolizes strength, discipline, righteousness, and compassion.
The name also carries a personal connection to family heritage. It references his father’s birth name, Shiv Shankar Vara Prasad, linking the newborn to the family’s spiritual and cultural legacy.
The Significance of Anveera Devi
Their daughter has been named Anveera Devi, a name reflecting courage and feminine strength.
Ram Charan explained that “Veera” signifies bravery, while the prefix “An” makes it boundless or infinite. The addition of “Devi” was intentional, symbolizing divine grace and the balance between strength and gentleness.
He emphasized that the names represent more than identity.
“These are not just names for us. They carry our prayers for strength, love, and courage in our children’s lives,” he said.
The announcement has drawn warm wishes from fans and well-wishers across the country, celebrating the family’s joyful milestone.
