Comparison With Previous Avatar Films
While Fire and Ash has delivered impressive numbers, its pace is slightly slower compared to ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ (2022). The earlier installment had recorded over ₹391 crore net in India within its first week, setting a higher benchmark at the domestic box office.
In India, Fire and Ash is currently facing strong competition from major local releases, including Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’, which continues to dominate box office charts.
Outlook and Projections
Trade analysts remain optimistic about the film’s long-term prospects. Industry projections suggest that Avatar: Fire and Ash is likely to cross the $1 billion mark globally in the coming weeks. In India, the film is expected to approach ₹200 crore by the end of its third week, provided weekday collections remain stable.
The film continues to perform steadily in theaters worldwide, with reports indicating a 4K Blu-ray release window around March 2026.
