What Critics Are Saying
Casting director Mukesh Chhabra, who attended the special screening, shared his first review on X (formerly Twitter):
“Just watched ‘Ikkis’—a film made entirely from the heart. A gentle, honest story that stays with you long after the credits. Dharmendra Sir… such grace, such depth. If this is your final film, my heart truly breaks. You’ve given us something deeply emotional and necessary. Hats off to Jaidip Ahlawat—he truly surprised me. Agastya Nanda and Simar Bhatia are warmly welcomed; both shine on screen with lovely chemistry. Agastya’s innocence and sincerity truly sparkle. Special mention to Vivaan Shah and Sikandar Kher—excellent work. And above all, Sriram Raghavan, the master. Once again, sir… once again. A heartfelt, honestly told film, cinema that feels personal.”
About the Film
‘Ikkis’ is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, one of India’s youngest officers to be awarded the Param Vir Chakra at 21. Dharmendra portrays Agastya Nanda’s father in the film, adding a personal touch to the historic story.
