South Indian superstar Thalapathy Vijay treated fans to a spectacular event as the audio launch of his upcoming film ‘Jana Nayagan’ took place at Malaysia’s Bukit Jalil National Stadium on Saturday. Millions of fans gathered to witness the celebration of Vijay’s three-decade-long cinematic journey, making the event one of the most memorable in his career.
The film is believed to be Vijay’s last before fully stepping into politics, adding extra excitement to the occasion. The grand celebration was named ‘Thalapathy Thiruvizha’, reflecting the fan frenzy that reached fever pitch.
Over 100,000 Fans Attend
From the evening’s start, the stadium was buzzing with anticipation. Over 100,000 fans attended, setting a new record in Malaysia. As Vijay stepped onto the stage, the crowd erupted with applause, chants, and fireworks. Donning a navy blue suit with a black shirt, he walked through thousands of mobile torchlights, creating a cinematic moment.
Music by Anirudh Ravichander
Renowned music director Anirudh Ravichander led the musical festivities, performing new songs from the film alongside iconic tracks from Vijay’s career with a live orchestra. Legendary singers like Vijay Yesudas, Anuradha Sriram, Hariharan, Shweta Mohan, S.P. Charan, Tippu, Yogi B, and Andrea Jeremiah also performed, adding to the electrifying atmosphere.
Star-Studded Attendance
Lead actress Pooja Hegde made a glamorous entrance in a silver and maroon saree, receiving a warm welcome from fans. Other stars in attendance included Bobby Deol, Narain, Priyamani, Nassar, and director H. Vinoth, while notable filmmakers Lokesh Kanagaraj, Atlee, and Nelson Dilipkumar graced the event.
Lyricist Vivek Velmurugan emotionally thanked Vijay from the stage, leaving fans deeply moved.
