New Delhi, April 7, 2025 – In a strategic move towards bolstering India’s clean energy ambitions, Jindal (India) Limited, a key player in the B.C. Jindal Group and one of India’s top downstream steel product manufacturers, has announced its entry into the renewable energy sector with the launch of JINDALUME AL-ZN (BGL) Coated Coils.
Tailored for solar module mounting structures, the newly launched Aluminium-Zinc coated coils and sheets are engineered for high durability, exceptional corrosion resistance, and structural strength—essentials for long-term outdoor solar infrastructure.
“We see immense potential in the solar business and are excited to be part of India’s green energy transition,” said a company spokesperson. “JINDALUME is built to deliver unmatched performance in demanding conditions, making it a game-changer in supporting the solar industry’s backbone.”
Strengthening India’s Green Infrastructure
Jindal (India) Limited has already begun supplying JINDALUME to leading solar infrastructure developers across India. This marks a significant leap in its commitment to sustainability and clean energy leadership.
The launch aligns with the BC Jindal Group’s broader renewable energy roadmap, which includes a massive $2.5 billion investment to scale its renewable capacity to 5 GW within four years.
Backed by Cutting-Edge Capacity Expansion
The company’s twin manufacturing hubs near Kolkata, known for world-class steel processing, are now being augmented with an additional 0.6 million MT capacity, increasing total annual output by 60% to 1.6 million MT. The INR 1,500 crore investment will power advanced R&D and strengthen Jindal India’s market leadership in green materials for infrastructure.
