German semiconductor giant Infineon has signed its first agreement with CDIL Semiconductors to supply silicon wafers for manufacturing power chips in India. Senior company officials announced the deal on Thursday, marking a significant step toward strengthening India’s semiconductor industry.
Under this agreement, Infineon will supply blank semiconductor wafers to CDIL, which the Indian company will process for assembly and packaging to manufacture power chipsets.
