Mumbai – The lawrence Bishnoi, a notorious gangster who has built a sprawling criminal empire, is once again making headlines. His recent declaration of a hit list, including prominent public figures and Bollywood celebrities, has raised alarm bells across India. Currently imprisoned in Gujarat’s Sabarmati jail, Bishnoi continues to operate his gang remotely, with an estimated 700 associates executing his commands. National investigative agencies like the NIA are tightening their grip on him, but his criminal network remains vast and influential. Notably, Bishnoi’s criminal agenda now involves key targets, ranging from Bollywood megastar Salman Khan to other individuals closely connected to his gang’s activities.
Salman Khan: The Prime Target
Bollywood actor Salman Khan is the most high-profile name on Bishnoi’s hit list, a feud that dates back to 2018. It was during a court appearance in Jodhpur when Bishnoi publicly vowed to kill Salman Khan, marking the beginning of an ongoing vendetta. Bishnoi’s animosity towards Khan stemmed from the actor’s involvement in a 1998 blackbuck poaching case, which holds symbolic significance for the Bishnoi community that reveres the animal.
Bishnoi’s threat turned serious when in 2022, his associates were arrested after firing outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. The gangster revealed during NIA interrogations that he had conducted two reconnaissance missions (recces) to track Khan’s movements and even sent a threatening letter to the actor. His obsession with eliminating Salman Khan continues to be one of the top concerns for law enforcement agencies.
Saganpreet Singh: Manager of Sidhu Moosewala
Another name on Bishnoi’s radar is Saganpreet Singh, who managed the late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. Moosewala’s brutal murder in 2022 sent shockwaves through India, and Bishnoi’s gang was linked to the incident. Saganpreet’s connection to this plot made him an inevitable target. It is reported that Saganpreet had provided refuge to the shooters responsible for killing Vicky Middukhera, a close associate of Lawrence Bishnoi.
Bishnoi had a personal bond with Middukhera, considering him akin to a brother since their college days. Middukhera’s assassination in 2021, which occurred in broad daylight in Mohali, further fueled Bishnoi’s desire for vengeance, with Saganpreet emerging as a key figure in his revenge plot.
Gangster Mandeep Dhaliwal: A Rival in Bishnoi’s Crosshairs
The rivalry between Bishnoi’s gang and other criminal factions has intensified in recent years, with Mandeep Dhaliwal being a prime example. Dhaliwal is closely associated with the Bambiha gang, a group in direct competition with Bishnoi’s operations. Specifically, Dhaliwal is a close confidant of Lucky Patial, the leader of the Bambiha gang, who is believed to be responsible for harboring those involved in Middukhera’s assassination. Bishnoi has declared his intent to eliminate Dhaliwal, seeing him as a major obstacle in his quest for dominance within the underworld.

Bishnoi’s network extends far beyond his prison walls, with associates like Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara continuing to execute his orders. These key figures assist in running operations from across international borders, evading law enforcement and orchestrating attacks on rivals. As Bishnoi’s influence grows, so does the complexity of his criminal operations, making it increasingly difficult for agencies like the NIA to dismantle his empire.
Despite being incarcerated, Bishnoi maintains a firm grip on his gang, which is now involved in a range of criminal activities from extortion to organized hits. His hit list not only includes Bollywood celebrities and rival gang members but also political figures and businessmen, making him one of the most dangerous figures in India’s criminal landscape.
