Sultanpur: In the defamation case of Home Minister Amit Shah, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi appeared in the MPMLA Court of Sultanpur today and Rahul Gandhi said that Congress is fighting strongly and will fight strongly.

Today, BJP leader Vijay Mishra had filed a case in Sultanpur alleging defamation on an alleged statement made by Rahul Gandhi on Amit Shah. In December 2023, the court also issued a non-bailable warrant against Rahul Gandhi.

In the defamation case of Home Minister Amit Shah, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi appeared in the MPMLA Court of Sultanpur today. During this, while recording his statement in the court, he said that the allegations against him are wrong. Naveen Jha had filed a complaint against this statement of Rahul Gandhi in Ranchi Civil Court, on which the court took cognizance. Rahul Gandhi has filed a petition in the High Court to quash it.

Rahul Gandhi’s lawyer had said that he is unable to attend due to the Lok Sabha session. He should be given a last chance. The court had then given the date of 26 July. The court had said that Rahul should appear in person. On Rahul’s appearance, UP Congress President Ajay Rai said that Rahul is being harassed, but we will not give up.
