Norway:  Former Iraqi militia leader Salwan Momika, accused of burning the Quran in Sweden, has been found dead in Norway. In fact, Momika, who was facing infamy globally for advocating free speech and publicly burning the Quran, had moved to Norway from Sweden.

It is noteworthy that Momika described herself as a liberal atheist critic and thinker. Salvan Momik came into limelight when on Eid in June 2023, he attacked a copy of the Holy Quran and burnt it in front of Stockholm’s largest mosque. One of his friends filmed this act and the video went viral.

After this, Momik was criticized from all sides. Citing sources, it was reported on Tuesday that a 37-year-old man had been found dead, but shortly afterwards it was reported that further confirmation was awaited. Earlier it was claimed that the body of Iraqi refugee and Islamic critic Salwan Saba Matti Momika has been recovered from Norway.
