America has supported India against Chinese statements on Arunachal Pradesh. The US State Department’s deputy spokesperson said Arunachal is part of India and they oppose China’s claims to any territory across the Line of Actual Control.
America has said this after China’s statement claiming Arunachal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Arunachal on 9-10 March. He had inaugurated the Sela Tunnel built at an altitude of 13 thousand feet here. On March 11, China protested against this and claimed Arunachal as its share.
America said- military intrusion is wrong
US State Department deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel said during the press briefing – America recognizes Arunachal Pradesh as Indian territory. Any kind of infiltration here is wrong and we oppose any unilateral attempt to make claims on any territory through military, civilian infiltration or encroachment across the Line of Actual Control.
China gave new name to Arunachal Pradesh
China calls Arunachal Pradesh South Tibet and names it Jangnan. On March 11, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin named Arunachal Pradesh as Jangnan and said – this is Chinese territory. Our government never recognized the illegally settled Arunachal Pradesh. We oppose it even today. This is a part of China and India cannot do anything arbitrarily here.
