Islamabad – : There is political upheaval in Pakistan these days and Pakistan is going through a bad situation. Meanwhile, former Prime Minister of Pakistan and leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has said that the army wants to prevent his opposition party from winning the next elections and wants to form a weak government in the country.
It is noteworthy that the economic condition of Pakistan is not good. Talking to the media on Friday evening at his heavily guarded house in Lahore, Imran Khan said that Pakistan wants to crush the PTI by October between the government and the army. He said this while pointing to the arrest of his supporters. Authorities have said they want to hold the attackers of military buildings accountable following his brief time in custody in May. Imran Khan, the former prime minister and leading in popularity polls despite losing power in a parliamentary trust vote last year, denied the role of his supporters and PTI workers in the attacks. At the same time, he accused the government of using the incident as an excuse to take unprecedented action.
Imran Khan said that it all depends on the feeling of the ruling establishment that PTI will not be able to win elections now. Once he is sure about this, then he will announce the elections. At present, the representatives of the government and the army have not reacted to this comment of Imran Khan. However, both have earlier said that Imran Khan and his supporters have crossed all limits with the attack on state-owned property.
Speaking to the media, Imran Khan said it would be difficult for any party to win a strong mandate, leaving the fractured government in dire financial straits, which forced his successor, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, to seek help from the International Monetary Fund Is. He blamed the mismanagement of the Sharif government for the present crisis. He further said that public support for him and his party is increasing despite several prominent politicians leaving the party.
