Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan released a book in English titled ‘Rock Art of S-Belt in Central India’ at his residence here today. MLA Shri Dhruv Narayan Singh was also present on the occasion.
Book’s author Smt. Pushpa Tiwari informed that the book contains rare pictures of rock art in S-Belt of Central Asia and articles written by famous litterateur and leading researcher the late Prof. Shankar Tiwari. Seventy-five out of about one thousand colour transparencies made by Prof. Tiwari have been included in the book. These multi-dimensional pictures and sketches are specialities of the book.
It may be mentioned that the book’s author Smt. Pushpa Tiwari is the wife of the late Prof. Shankar Tiwari. Smt. Tiwari is associated with various social and cultural activities. She is also writing a book on Kutumbsar cave.
Shri Om Prakash Mishra is co-author of the book, who is presently working as archaeologist with Directorate of Archaeology, Archives and Museums of Madhya Pradesh government. He is also a fellow of Royal Asiatic Society of London.
