New Delhi,

Day 3 of FDCI India Couture Week 2016 started with a brilliant collection of Rimple & Harpreet Narula The designers’ new collection is called Hiraeth, taking inspiration from the late Khalil Gibran. This collection is overwhelmed with French paisley, Arabesque cartouches, geometrical prints and Afghan prints.

An interesting factor of the duo’s show was the choice of the background tracks. Instead of going for songs, the duo chose Punjabi poetry by Amrita Pritam as recited by Gulzar with India’s first Turbaned model Karan Singh Chhabra opening the men’s sequence for the show.

Talking about his association with the Label, Karan shared “My debut at the Couture week was with Rimple and Harpreet and the way they present their collection, from the choreography to the selection of music excites me the most to walk for them”

On asking about the collection the designer duo shared “It is dominated by the shades of gold and ivory white. You’ll also come across typical Punjabi patterns in this collection, especially in men’s wear.

Bollywood actress Yami Gautam was the showstopper of the show.
