With the launch of their new property BIG Golden Voice junior, the radio network is offering an excellent platform to kids to showcase their singing talent. Much to the delight of the participants, the Indian playback singer Anuradha Bhat served as the celebrity judge and also mentored the kids. She refined their technicalities in singing with the focus on pitch and tone. The 13-year-old Shreya Rao was adjudged as the city winner after a tough competition among a plethora of young and mesmerizing voices. She will now compete with 40 finalists for the coveted title of the first ever ‘BIG Golden Voice Junior’ and earn a golden opportunity to sing for a Bollywood film.
An overjoyed Shreya said, “My mother’s friends motivated and suggested to send my voice sample to participate and I cleared the audition round. After having gone through a couple of rigorous selection stages, I have finally reached this level. I am very happy. This win has come as wonderful surprise to me. I never expected to win because the competitors were also very good. My parents are very happy for me for wining this award. All my friends and music teachers also congratulated me for the win.”
Speaking on her association with 92.7 BIG FM Anuradha Bhat said, “India is filled with immense talent and especially among the young guns of the country. We wanted to build a platform to motivate the kids and help them move further towards fulfilling their dreams. We are now just one step away from unearthing our title winner. I feel glad to be a part of this wonderful journey with these talented kids. I congratulate Shreya for her deserving win and wish her all the very best for the next stage.”
