“An extensive campaign would be waged to make the youth aware about Ghar Ghar Rozgar Scheme being run by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government besides the importance of skill development.”
Disclosing this here today on the occasion of flagging off the 4 vans to popularize various skill development initiatives of the State Government, the Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi said that these vans have been flagged off under the DDOGKY, PMKVY-2 and NULM Scheme with the active assistance of the Shiv Educational Society. These would guide the youth of rural areas about various schemes about skill development besides helping them to get registered for the skill development initiatives.
Mr. Channi also said that the Punjab Government would also undertake help from the various media platforms such as TV, Print, Radio, Social Media and the Outdoor Media. Apart from this, Skill Development Centres and various NGOs must also take the lead in educating youth about schemes being run by the State Government under the Skill Development Mission so as to ensure that the youth are able to land job avenues.
The minister on the occasion honoured 2 youths Shubham Singh and Himanshu Vohra who partricipated in the World Skill-2019 programme held in Kazan, Russia. Shubham participated in Cyber Security Skill and Himanshu in the Plumbing and Heating Skill.
