Expressing concern over the situation of Hindus in Bangladesh, former commissioner of the top religious freedom organization (USCIRF) in America, Johnny Moore, said, ‘I am surprised that the current Biden government is not paying attention to the situation in Bangladesh at all. But in a few weeks the government will change and Donald Trump will come to power. I believe that the situation will change with the arrival of Trump and his team, who are in favor of American values and consider India as their strong ally.’ Moore said that ‘there is no such challenge in the world that experts of Indian and American culture cannot solve. Moore said that religious freedom will be the priority of the Trump government.’

Moore questioned the silence of the world, especially Western countries, regarding the atrocities being committed against the Hindu community in Bangladesh. He said that human rights organizations and religious organizations raise their voice on every other issue, but when atrocities are committed against the Hindu community, unfortunately very few people speak about it. We will change this and try to draw the attention of the whole world to this issue.

Former USCRIF commissioner Moore also criticized the Mohammad Yunus government of Bangladesh and said that when Mohammad Yunus became the head of the interim government of Bangladesh, he made big claims about democracy, talked about the rule of law and values, but now not only the Hindu minorities in Bangladesh but the existence of the entire country is in danger. He accused the Yunus government of failing miserably.

Expressing displeasure over the arrest of Chinmay Krishna Das, Moore said that if Bangladesh Police can arrest Chinmay Krishna Das, then they can arrest anyone. Moore said that the global Christian community stands in support of the Hindu community of Bangladesh.

There is a lot of anger in India over the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh. The surprising thing is that America, which becomes the flag bearer of human rights all over the world, has not yet issued any statement regarding the atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh. The former head of the top religious freedom organization in America himself has expressed his displeasure with his own government over this. He also said that Donald Trump is coming to power and the situation will definitely change with his arrival.
