Virbhadra Singh Urges people to refrain from encroaching Government land

It was during the BJP regime that the people were asked to give affidavits for regularization of encroached land which were never regularized and created chaos amongst the people. The BJP misguided the people on the issue of regularization of encroachments said Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh while addressing  simultaneous public meetings at Dobi-Gopalpur, Dofda and Dhar-Gaura in Rampur subdivision of Shimla district.

He urged the people not to encroach upon Government land adding that the orders for removal of encroachments were given by the Hon’ble High Court, but due to review petition filed by the State government, the Hon’ble High Court sympathetically considered the plea of the Government for not axing the fruit bearing trees and orchards encroached upon. He said that landless poor in the State would be provided land for construction of houses and a policy was there to provide three biswas of land for construction of house for houseless and landless. There were different parameters for providing land to houseless and landless in urban and rural areas. He said that as per policy three biswa and two biswa land would be provided to people in rural and urban areas respectively.

Chief Minister said the vacant posts of teachers would soon be filled in Government Senior Secondary School Dofda. He said that the Congress Government had adopted election manifesto as a policy document and had fulfilled all the promises made therein. He said that the Government was giving priority to roads, education, and strengthening health services. He said that Bajwa-Charpai road would be completed within next six months. He said that the road from Shah-Dofda-Daran-Daranghati- Deothi would be mettalled soon and a provision of Rs12.5 crore had been made for this.

Shri Virbhadra Singh said that the Government was committed towards the welfare of the agriculturists and horticulturists. He said that the Government was providing subsidy on anti-hail-nets and exhorted the people to take maximum benefits of Government schemes.

Chief Minister said that a sum of Rs 25 lakhs for reconstruction of Sharai Koti temple had been sanctioned and soon the department of Language Art and Culture would start the work. He announced construction of toilet blocks in Government Senior Secondary School Dhar-Gaura  to cost around  Rs. 50 lakhs. He also announced up-gradation of Primary Health Centre, Dhar-Gaura to CHC and widening of road from Rampur to Mashnoo. He also announced opening of police post at Dhar-Gaura. He announced opening up of Ayuvedic dispensary at Daran.

Shri Virbhadra Singh dedicated the drinking water supply scheme in gram Panchayat Dhar Gaura in Rampur sub division of district Shimla today completed with an out lay of Rs 5.24 crore. The scheme would cover 18 habitations of Gram Panchayat Dhar Gaura which includes, Gaura, Gopalpur, Ranot, Koti, Panoti, Chandpur, Sharan, Rattanpur, Patti, Dhar and Makroli having population of around 7000. He also laid foundation stone of water supply scheme in remote Dhar Kapti village to cost Rs 50 lakh benefitting population of around 1000. Besides, the Chief Minister also performed foundation stone laying ceremony of PWD rest house at Deothi to cost Rs 98 lakh.

The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of additional accommodation of PWD rest house at Daranghati to cost Rs. 84 lakhs. He also performed foundation stone of Tourist Hut at Sharai Koti Temple to cost Rs. 44 lakh.
