Trump Paris Welcome: Macron, Zelensky Talks Aim to Reset Relations

During this, he also met Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Zelensky. He promised Zelensky to end the Russia-Ukraine war soon. President Macron’s office said that during the Macron-Trump-Zelensky meeting, apart from the Russia-Ukraine war, the latest situation in West Asia was also discussed. According to experts, Zelensky’s visit is an attempt to persuade Trump to continue the help being given to Ukraine against Russian aggression.

In fact, the relationship between Trump and Macron has been full of ups and downs. Macron has been insisting on improving relations with Trump since he was elected President last month after defeating US Vice President Kamala Harris. Trump has been invited to France as the newly elected President of a ‘friendly nation’. As soon as Trump arrived at the official residence of the French President, Macron shook hands and patted his back several times to present an image of close relations. Donald Trump has announced the nomination of Rodney Scott as the head of the Customs and Border Protection Department and Caleb Vitello for the post of head of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Department.
