Such a small number of registries took place on Dhanteras

Only 59 registries of property were done on Dhantesar in the capital. This was the first time that such a small number of registries were done on Dhanteras. A total revenue of 45 lakhs has been received from these registries. Prior to this, their number used to reach 250 to 300 and revenue of two to three crores was received. On auspicious occasions like Dhanteras, people buy land, house, shop fiercely.

One of the reasons for less registry is the opposition of the employees of the registration department to open the office on a holiday and people are being told not to be aware of the opening. At the same time, in view of the opposition of the employees, the service providers did not book the slots of the registry. However, a day before Dhanteras, 281 registrations were done on Friday. Offices were opened from 10 am on Dhanteras on Saturday, but there was silence throughout the day. From morning till afternoon no one reached Pari Bazar and ISBT office for registration. The situation was such that even a hundred people did not reach for the registration. This figure is less than the last four days. Whereas last year 369 properties were registered on Dhanteras.

It is being told that at first the employees protested, but later it was agreed to open the office on Saturday. The department was also confident that the records would be registered, but it could not be clear to the people whether the offices would open or not. For this reason, the offices were open on holidays, but there was silence from the morning itself. People were coming from time to time, but their number was very less. This included those who had come to Bhopal for registration from outside. Registration offices at ISBT and Pari Bazar were opened on Dhanteras. Here 10 sub registrar 60-60 registry slots were kept. During this, the offices also remained open till late evening.

In the four days before the Diwali festival, about 1305 registries have been done. In this way, deals worth more than 400 crores have been done. 280 on Tuesday, 360 on Wednesday, 384 on Thursday, 281 on Friday and only 59 on Saturday.

On the other hand, the officials of the registration office say that people are buying property due to auspicious time. It is to be known that last year 369 registries were done on Dhanteras. 1305 registries were done in the last four days. Only 59 registries were done on Dhanteras. 45 lakh revenue was received on Dhanteras. PLC/GT
