In fact, ahead of the G-20 working group meeting to be held in Srinagar later this month, officials are busy cleaning the famous Dal Lake and the city, and more than 500 workers are in “mission mode” to beautify Srinagar. are working. The G-20 tourism group meeting is scheduled to be held from May 22 to 24 at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Center on the banks of Dal Lake.

In view of the programme, the cleaning campaign is going on in full swing in the lake. The Lake Conservation and Management Authority, which is responsible for cleaning various water sources including Dal Lake, has deployed workers and machinery for the cleaning process. The authority is cleaning the lake with the help of both machinery and manual labor and is engaged in its beautification for the guests.

Authority’s Vice Chairman Bashir Ahmad Bhat said, “The main event is going to be held near Dal Lake and hence the work of beautification and making it attractive is being done in full swing. Bhat said that the authority is taking help of modern machinery, technology along with labor for beautification and work is being done in two shifts.
