Ration Card Holders Alert: eKYC Process Must be Completed by July 31, 2023

INVC NEWS
New Delhi : Important news for ration card holders! If you haven’t completed your e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) process for your ration card, there’s no need to panic. You now have the opportunity to complete the e-KYC process by July 31, 2023. The e-KYC process is free of cost, and you won’t have to pay any fees at the ration shop where you get it done for your family members.

The Central Government has instructed the implementation of 100 percent e-KYC for beneficiaries of the National Food Security Act under the One Nation, One Ration Card scheme. To fully implement this scheme, it is necessary to authenticate the Aadhaar information of all members listed on the ration card.

Distribution of food grains has been affected due to incorrect registration of Aadhaar details and non-authentication of Aadhaar information in the ration cards. The e-KYC process aims to address this issue. Beneficiaries whose Aadhaar information is already registered in the departmental database will have their Aadhaar information authenticated for e-KYC.

The Food Department officials have mentioned that e-KYC facilities are available in the e-pass equipment provided to government fair price shops in the state. Remember, the e-KYC process is completely free of cost.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with the e-KYC process, feel free to ask.
