New Delhi, November 11: In a strong national address following the Red Fort explosion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged to ensure accountability and justice for the attack that shook the capital.
Modi described the blast as a “cowardly act meant to disturb peace and unity”, assuring that investigative agencies have been directed to use all national security and counter-terror resources to identify and apprehend those behind the explosion.
“Those who carried out this act will be brought to justice. India will not bow before terror,” Modi declared, signaling the use of strict anti-terrorism laws in the forthcoming investigation.
Security forces have heightened alerts across major metro cities, with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Delhi Police Special Cell joining the probe. Eyewitnesses reported loud tremors near the heritage monument late Monday evening, with officials confirming a forensic team is already on-site.
Political analysts say Modi’s swift and firm response underscores his government’s zero-tolerance stance on terrorism and aims to project national unity ahead of key state elections.
Authorities have appealed to citizens to remain calm and avoid circulating unverified information on social media.
