The Israeli army has penetrated 48 kilometers inside Lebanon, as a result of which Hezbollah fighters have fled the area. However, some clashes are continuing between the Lebanese army and the remaining Hezbollah fighters. About 1 million people have fled from this area due to this conflict, due to which the local population has almost disappeared.
The Israeli army has established its influence in the entire southern Lebanon. Israel’s National Security Cabinet has described this operation as the next phase of the fight against Hezbollah. This is the fourth intrusion by the Israeli army on Lebanese land in 50 years, and is happening for the first time since the 34-day war in 2006.
