India to Host the Next AI Summit: PM Modi Expresses Joy Over the Opportunity
India is set to host the next Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit, a significant step in its growing role in global AI discussions. India has existing legal provisions under the IT Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) to tackle deepfake-related crimes. However, as deepfake technology becomes increasingly sophisticated, it is crucial to develop advanced AI-based solutions to detect and prevent its misuse.
