Greetings from Asian OasisM.M.Khanna,
INVC,
Chandigarh,
Where would we be without our valuable agents and partners? The answer is simple – nowhere. Despite the significant increase in online and direct bookings, where mainly the hotels try to bypass the agents and put their efforts to the direct booking marketing for higher profit conversion, Asian Oasis are still focusing on the B2B business and favor agents and partners with good commissions. Our reason for that is that we recognize our products can be a hard sale, which require some efforts for our partners to communicate to their guests.  We can all agree, Thailand as a destination has returned and numbers are rising with high season numbers increasing significantly compared to the past years but lets face it; nothing is at it seems to be and times are changing. Lets start with the weather, unpredictable and unfortunately a factor, while talking about inbound tourism to Thailand. Entering the low season last year it was hot and dry – relatively at least, while this year has been hot and wet. Asian Oasis, operating outdoor activities, we are particular valuable to this.  The past year saw Asian Oasis receiving a number of rewards for doing business the way we do. This of cause is a “tip on the shoulder” for us and makes us proud being recognized. This has been our lodges; Lisu Lodge in Chiang Mai and Lanjia Lodge in Chiang Rai, who have taken the prices. As our lodges have gotten good coverage for that, I would like to point out to you our cruises, which consist of our Mekhala boats in Bangkok and June Bahtra and Suwan Macha in Phuket.

Mekhala: We are continuously trying to improve our boats and are currently in the process of giving the bath rooms a little touch up and will also replace all the air-condition units. Looking at the operational part, then we continue through the low season with our 2 for 1 promotion for last minute bookings. Keep an eye on our Newsletters as we are updating the available departures on a regular basis.  For the upcoming high season we have great news! We have decided to add 2 weekly departures and are now featuring up stream departures (Bangkok to Bang Pra Inn) on:Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and the reversed trip departing from Bang Pra In on :Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. In addition and what has been an issue for many agents, we have abolished the min. 4 Pax departures and are now guaranteeing departures at min. 2 Pax for all departures.  Other great news for Mekhala is, that we have entered a cooperation with Bangkok Recreational Biking and will from the beginning of the high season offer a combination of our up stream cruise and a guided tour of Ayutthaya by bike, with lunch and return transfer to Bangkok included. The tour can be booked either through Asian Oasis or Bangkok Recreational Biking and a supplementary contract will soon be mailed.

Suwan Macha : I don’t think I take my mouth to full by stating that Asian Oasis with our Suwan Macha 4 days / 3 nights cruise in the beautiful area of the Phang Nga Bay are  offering one of the most astonishing experiences in the Southern parts of Thailand. Not only are the surroundings astonishing but Suwan Macha in it self is kind a unique as it’s an original wooden Chinese Junk. Unfortunately it seems like this cruise by many are overlooked and need our partners support to create a greater awareness of the Suwan Macha cruise. To strive the awareness we have during the low season slashed our prices with whole 40%, which have increased the number of bookings but theres still room for more. Please check our website about this cruise and get inspired. We all know that there is many tourist who are looking for a little more than just the Phuket beaches and you would be able to help them, by offering Suwan Macha.

June Bahtra : For those who doesn’t have the time to experience the longer cruise, June Bahtra is the option. June Bahtra offering day tours in the Phang Nga Bay, inclusive of visits to the See Gipsy Village – Koh Baan Jhii and the compulsory visit to the James Bond Island. Also included in the tour is a extensive lunch and the transfers from and to the hotels in Phuket and twice a week also from Khao Lak. As with Suwan Macha, June Bahtra is beautiful crafted wooden Chinese Junks, making June Bahtra an attraction in itself. On Wednesdays and Sundays, we have in addition to the day tours the possibility of joining our “Sunset Dinner Cruise”. As a fact, most of the visitors to Phuket are there for several days and why not offer them some tours a little out of the ordinary, being at the Ocean is not the sam as being on the Ocean, with June Bahtra they have the chance of both!
