February is the month of love and ALTBalajii’s set to enthrall its viewers with two astounding love dramas, one an urban mature love story and the other a high school drama. At a high-octane event, the content czarina Ekta Kapoor unveiled the trailer of two much awaited web-series Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 2 and Punch Beat. In addition to the eagerly-awaited second season of the Ronit Roy, Mona Singh and Gurdeep Kohli blockbuster Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain,the digital arm of Balaji Telefilms also presents a new offering – Punch Beat, which is a riveting take on high-school drama set in Dehradun. The two diverse shows will be launched on 14th February on the ALTBalaji app. While Punch Beat will bea binge-watch,Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 2 will engage its viewers week on week with one episode being dropped every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Joining Ekta Kapoor Were the renowned actors from both the series. The cast of Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain2 which includes Ronit Roy, Mona Singh, Gurdeep Kohli, Apurva Agnihotri, Parth Samthaan, Pooja Banerjee along with writer Jay Misrawere visibly ecstatic. The ensemble representing Punch Beat too made their presence felt with Samir Soni, Priyank Sharma, Siddharth Sharma, Khushi Joshi, Rushad Rana, Kajol Tyagi, Sindhuja Turlapati and Nikhil Bhambri along with producer Vikas Gupta in attendance.
Commenting on bringing two absolutely diverse love dramas, Ekta Kapoor said, “We are bringing out the second season of Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain and this itself speaks volumes about the response to the show and content on our platform. On the other hand, there is Punch Beat which is absolutely vibrant and has such an enthusiastic cast who will definitely steal the hearts of our audience with their amazing performances. It’s definitely a win-win situation, as we are releasing not one but two series that reach out to different target audiences. I totally give the credit to the brilliant team of writers, directors and entire cast of the two shows, who have given their best to the series and made it look the way it is looking.”
KehneKo Humsafar Main2 will pick up from exactly where it left. The second season will once again raise questions and seek answers for complicated relationships in the game of life.Will Rohit (played by Ronit Roy) be able to swallow his ego and persuade Ananya (Mona Singh) to get back? Will Ananya be able to battle his resentment, for having left him?What is the next step when the children have flown the nest? Does this mean the end of the world for Poonam (played by Gurdeep Kohli)?
Veteran actor Ronit Roy who plays the role of Rohit in Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai 2 shared, “I have always loved working with Ekta as she is extremely passionate about all her concepts. I am truly blessed to be a part of Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain 2 and have got so much love from the audiences. I hope the viewers like our second season as much as they loved the first one.
Mona Singh quipped “I was eagerly waiting to shoot the next season since the time I got to know about it. Season one ended on such a note that it kept the audience hooked and waiting to know what will happen next. Season 2 will bring those answers to the audiences. I relate to the character of Anna as I do have some of the same qualities of independence and pursuing my professional goals in real life as well.”
Gurdeep Kohli further added, “My character has had an interesting journey altogether and it is nice to see her transform over the course of the season. She is now on the path to discovering herself. It gives me immense joy to be a part of season 2 of Kehne Ko Humsafar Hain as I now get to bring a different facet of Poonam’s personality to the audience.”
On the other hand, Punch Beat chronicles the lives of students at Rosewood High, a prestigious school famous for boxing, dancing and its disciplined ways. But this winter, the new semester is full of surprises where lot of rules will be broken. The cast comprises teenage sensation Priyank Sharma who stars as Rahat, along with debutant actors – Siddharth Sharma as Ranbir, Harshita Gaur as Divyanka and Khushi Joshi as Padmini.
Commenting on the trailer launch the creative mind behind Punch Beat, Vikas Gupta from Lost Boy Productions Said “We have been receiving rave reviews for the show since the time we released its first poster. Punch Best deals with the hopes and aspirations of youngsters from different backgrounds.It is shot extensively in Dehradun and I am sure the emotions and complexities of the teenagers portrayed in the series will strike a chord with the younger audience.”
