Delhi Election 2025: Enjoy 25% Off at Restaurants After Voting

Boosting Voter Turnout in Delhi Elections: Discounts at Restaurants for Voters

In a bid to increase voter participation in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, the municipal corporation has introduced a unique initiative to encourage citizens to cast their votes. This time, residents who fulfill their civic duty by voting will be rewarded with significant discounts at various restaurants across the city.

Incentivizing Voting Through Discounts

The South Zone of the municipal corporation has teamed up with several hotels and restaurants to offer a generous 25% discount on meals to those who vote. This discount will be available from February 5 to February 9. The initiative is part of a broader effort to raise awareness and boost voter turnout by offering tangible incentives.

To avail of the discount, voters simply need to show the voting ink mark on their finger as proof of participation in the election. This campaign underscores the civic responsibility of voting while simultaneously providing a practical reward for the electorate.

Participating Locations and Discounts

The discount initiative is being implemented in various high-traffic areas and popular dining spots. Among the notable locations where voters can enjoy discounted meals are:

  • DLF Saket Mall
  • Select City Walk Mall
  • PVR Anupam Saket
  • Arvindo Marg
  • Malviya Nagar Market
  • DLF Vasant Kunj Mall
  • Greater Kailash (GK)
  • Green Park Market

These prominent locations house numerous well-known restaurants, ensuring that voters have a wide array of choices for dining after casting their votes.

Expanding the Reach of the Initiative

As of now, 47 restaurants have joined the campaign, offering the promised discount to voters. However, the municipal corporation is actively working to expand this number, aiming to include more dining establishments across the city. The goal is to ensure that voters in all areas have easy access to participating restaurants, thereby maximizing the initiative’s reach and impact.

Strategic Timing to Boost Turnout

The timing of the discount campaign is strategic, coinciding with the critical period leading up to the election. With only two days left for nomination submissions, the focus is now shifting towards ensuring a high voter turnout on election day.

The municipal corporation’s proactive approach in collaborating with the hospitality industry highlights a novel method of electoral engagement. By linking voting with immediate rewards, the initiative seeks to create a direct connection between civic participation and personal benefit.
