The report of the Union Health Ministry released on the district-wise spread of corona in the country states that the spread of corona is still high in 144 districts. A total of 250 districts have more than five percent infection, in which 144 districts have recorded a prevalence between 10 and 80 percent.
It was also told in the report that more attention needs to be given to Delhi and Haryana at the moment because eight to 16 percent of sample positives have been found here every day in the last week.
According to the report, between April 22 and 28, 16 samples were found positive in Delhi while 9 percent in Haryana. Apart from these, in Chhattisgarh, Goa, Chandigarh and Tamil Nadu between five and eight per cent people have been found infected. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan says that even though there may have been a decrease in the daily cases of corona at the national level, our efforts for prevention of infection at the district level should not be reduced.
According to the ministry, the weekly infection rate of corona is more than 10 percent in 144 districts of the country, while in 113 districts this rate is between five and 10 percent. Corona infection is less than five percent in about 444 districts of the country. Officials say that efforts should be made to control the infection in collaboration with the administration by keeping the districts where the prevalence is high in the Yellow Zone. Here work should be done through a five fold strategy.
