The Cold has started increasing in many states across the country including UP, Rajasthan and Delhi. The minimum temperature in Delhi has reached around 10 degrees. Srinagar experienced the coldest night of this season on Friday. While most parts of Kashmir had sub-zero temperatures, which has increased the chill. The temperature in Srinagar was recorded at minus 1.2 degrees Celsius. Tourist places Gulmarg and Pahalgam have seen a rapid fall. Many areas of Kashmir recorded sub-zero temperatures for the third consecutive night.
The Meteorological Department has predicted rain or snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir in the next two days, especially in the high altitude areas of Kashmir. Along with this, fog is also likely to cover some states including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal, Delhi, UP tomorrow. At the same time, there are chances of rain in Bengal and Kerala. In Himachal Pradesh too, there is a possibility of snowfall at one or two places on the high peaks on Saturday. According to the latest forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued of dense fog in the morning and evening in Mandi, Bilaspur and Una. The maximum drop in maximum temperature in the state has been recorded at 2.9 degrees Celsius in Kalpa and 2.7 degrees Celsius in Reckong Peo. Spiti Valley has been cut off from Lahaul.
Deputy Commissioner and Chairman District Disaster Management Authority, Lahaul Spiti Rahul Kumar has issued a notification to close Gramphoo to Losar NH-505 (Kunjum Pass) for traffic from Saturday till next year’s summer.
In Uttarakhand too, frost in the mountains and fog in the plains are increasing difficulties and the temperature is also decreasing. A warning has been issued by the Meteorological Department regarding dense fog in the plains. Dense fog can increase trouble especially in some areas of Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar districts.

Even during the day, people are seen wearing half jackets, wind cheaters and sweaters. In the morning and at night, people are seen wearing mufflers and caps.
