CBI files a chargesheet against two managers of State Bank of Mysore

The Central Bureau of Investigation has filed a chargesheet against the then Manager; the then Assistant Manager, both of State Bank of Mysore, Bhopal; and Bhopal based private construction firm & its Partner in the Court of Special Judge for CBI cases, Bhopal U/s 120 B r/w 420, 468/471 of IPC and U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act 1988 in an alleged loss of Rs. 447.55 lakhs (approx). A case was registered on 02.08.2011 U/s 120-B r/w 420, 464, 468 & 471 of IPC and Sec.13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of PC Act 1988 against the then Manager; the then Assistant Manager both of State Bank of Mysore, Bhopal and a private construction company of Bhopal & its Partners and others on the allegations that accused persons entered into criminal conspiracy with each other and sanctioned and disbursed 42 housing loans in the name of various borrowers brought by the builders of said firm on the basis of false IT Returns, Balance Sheets etc., thereby caused a loss to the tune of Rs. 447.55 lakhs (approx) to bank.  After investigation, a chargesheet was filed in the Designated Court.  The public is reminded that the above findings are based on the investigation done by CBI and evidence collected by it. Under the Indian Law, the accused are presumed to be innocent till their guilt is finally established after a fair trial.
