Dr Leo Cornelio, the Archbishop of Bhopal, offered prayers in remembrance of the ‘souls of the departed’ at bhadbhada cemetery and Bairagarh cemetery here today. 4800 attendees comprised friends and families of the departed Catholic souls and members of the Archdiocese of Bhopal.
Dr Leo Cornelio , Archbishop of Bhopal said “We have assembled in a solemn gathering in remembrance of those Catholic souls who have left us. We wish their souls have peace in heaven.”
He added “we have always stood by our departed brothers and sisters and will continue to pray for the peace of their souls. We are thankful to have such heartwarming response from the people of the diocese.”

The Archbishop is revered among Christians and especially among Catholics as the head of the local church. The archdiocese also organizes social welfare events like medical camps for the benefit of the local people. The Archdiocese of Bhopal organizes prayer meetings and services at regular intervals.
