Many companies and brands underestimate the power of social media, they want results too quickly and confuse it for a selling tool. Having success on Instagram, snap chat  or Facebook requires a lot of effort and regular analysis that can help to improve performance in the future.  “ Social media  is a great place to humanise one’s  brand by showing off the  company culture as it brings people together all over the world by allowing them to get to know each other and interact in an online environment. This is especially important for organisations individuals using Twitter, Facebook and Instagram because users through this platform tend to attract  Young generalisation. These young  consumers value connecting with brands online. This is why content part is the key on social media.” Said Ms Katerina Perez , renowned social media influencer and London based guest speaker, who is one of the most popular and inspiring names in the jewellery industry while speaking at the Arch Academy of Design in Jaipur.

“An Instagram, Facebook or twitter  account populated with interesting, high quality, and diverse images is precisely what is going to make people want to hit the follow button .Brands , especially related with fashion and jewellery should avoid thinking of this social network as a product  catalogue which they can fill with a ream of professional photos of items on a white or any other  background.” Ms Perez said.

“ The quality of featured content is the key factor in growing social media followers. It is important to have high quality images with considered composition that help to create a visual story. And it is the story that passes the message and keeps your followers interested in your profile. With the new algorithm social media is measured with one’s popularity on the rate of engagement, so a brand or a designer needs to ensure that they interact with their audience” she said.

“In the age of technology social media will continue to strive and I am sure we will be actively using new emerging channels in the future. For now, Instagram is the most important tool, but it is changing a lot and becoming a lot like Facebook. With such tendency brands might start looking at new methods of reaching out to potential clients.”she said.
